Spiced Citrus Holiday Drink
Get the festivities started with this spiced citrus holiday drink. This drink is both delicious and low in sugar. It is the perfect blend for the holiday season featuring clementine and ginger. This drink can be served as a non alcoholic drink but you can easily add a shot of whiskey for a warm cocktail or hot toddy.
- 1.5 cups Water
- 1.5 tbsp Ginger sliced
- 1 Clementine peeled
- 1 tsp Maple Syrup or Honey
- pinch Cinnamon optional
- Add the water and ginger slices to a small pot and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer for about 5 minutes, or longer if you prefer a spicier drink.
- Use the end of a wooden spoon to mash the clementine in a mug. Add the hot ginger water, cinnamon, and maple syrup to the mug. Stir until dissolved. Enjoy!
